Where can I use HomeComm Notice Board?
Users can use the HomeComm Notice Board from anywhere in the world with a browser and Internet access. HomeComm Bulletin Board / Notice Board will work with almost any browser, including Netscape and Internet Explorer versions 2.0 and higher. However, HomeComm works best with Internet Explorer 5.0.

Help with signing-in and registration
Users can have access to Notice Board, Mail, My HomeComm, Web Pages, Chat, Forum, Calendar, Postcard and Web Pal by using the same password. The Password can be obtained by subscribing to the HomeComm services. Please click here to subscribe to the HomeComm services.

What if I forget my password?
Click on the ‘Change Password’ button.

What if I want to change my User Profile?
Click on the ‘Change User Profile’ button.

What if I want to change my Secret Question?
Click on the ‘Change Secret Question’ button.

How can I view content in any of the categories in the Notice Board?
Users can view content in any of the categories in the Notice Board at the national, state or community level.


To view content in any of the categories in the Notice Board, click on the relevant category i.e. “News”, “Promotions”, “Announcements”, “Employment”, “For Sale” and “Miscellaneous”.

How can I post content on the Notice Board?
Users can post content in any of the categories except for ‘News’ and ‘Promotions’ in the Notice Board at the national, state or community level.

To post content in any of the categories except for ‘News’ and ‘Promotions’ in the Notice Board, click on the category which the User would like to post content in. Then, click on the ‘Create News Notice’ button to add new content. Users must fill in the ‘Subject’ and add a message in the box.

Users with a HomeComm account will need to insert their username and password. If the User does not have a HomeComm account they must enter their full name and leave the Password box empty. Users can also tick the ‘post as Anonymous’ button to remain anonymous.

Then, click on ’Preview’ to preview the notice. If the User is satisfied with the notice, click on ‘post this Notice’ to post the notice. To post the notice to the notice to the Bulletin Board system, click the ‘Post to BBS’ button.

How can I post content on the front page of the Notice Board?
Users can post content on the front page of the Notice Board in any of the categories except for ‘News’ and ‘Promotions’ in the Notice Board at the national, state or community level. Currently, this service is provided for free.


How can I search for content in the Bulletin Board / Notice Board?
To search for content in the Bulletin Board / Notice Board, click on the ‘Search’ button at the bottom of the page. In the form that pops up, enter the information required i.e.


Search for : The User should put in the content that they are looking for i.e. keywords;


Search topic : The User should state whether the content is at the national, state, community level or on all topics on the board;


Look in : The User should state whether the content can be found in the subject lines, name of authors or in the text of messages or in all three;


Type of page : The User should state whether the content can be found in pages containing messages or pages with or without messages;


Limit to : The User should limit the search to content posted within the last day, last 2 days, last week, last 2 weeks or last month.


The User can place a ‘+’ sign in front of a word to show that the search must contain the particular word. The User can place a ‘-‘ sign in front of a word to exclude the word. The User can also place a "phrase in quotes" to find matches that contain the entire phrase.


Then, click ‘Perform Search’ to execute the search.
